Carefix®

"After a breast surgery, optimal conditions for quick wound healing and an aesthetically pleasing result are important. The postoperative bras from Carefix offer several essential benefits."

Superior fixation, stabilization and support for pain relief.
After surgery, the breast area is very sensitive and painful. Despite the use of pain-relieving medication, movement of the breast often still causes pain and it is important that the breast has as little room to move as possible. A compression bra ensures that the breast is fixed, stabilized and supported.

Targeted compression for optimal healing of wounds and/or scars.
After any type of breast surgery, the damaged tissue will bleed and swell. The swelling is often very painful and can be harmful to the healing process, as the accumulation of blood and fluid can hinder the supply of important nutrients, oxygen and other components that are necessary for proper healing of the wound and/or scar area. .

The compression provided by a Carefix bra will reduce both swelling and bleeding. Compression means that pressure is applied directly to the swollen area, which reduces the accumulation of blood and fluids and creates an optimal environment for rapid healing. Furthermore, the compression helps flatten the scar.

Reduces the risk of infection.
A deterioration of the healing process increases the risk of wound infections, as disrupted healing leaves the wound open longer to harmful bacteria. An infected wound often results in significant pain, discomfort, and an adverse appearance of the wound and scar. Something that can be prevented through the healing benefits of a Carefix compression garment.

Stretchy material for the ideal fit.
One of the unique features of Carefix is the 4-way stretch material used in all products. This allows for natural compression to conform to the patient's body contours. The advantage of this is that the material continuously adapts to changes in the body, such as the varying shape of a swelling, which ensures comfort during prolonged use and an ideal fit.

Improves the outcome of the surgical procedure.
"Breast and plastic surgeons always do their best to achieve a satisfactory result for the patient and themselves. They often wonder whether it makes sense to influence the postoperative result with a binder or sports bra, which often feels strange and does not provide support where it is actually needed. The answer to that is that it is not meaningful. A postoperative compression bra from Carefix, on the other hand, is the perfect choice after surgery, as it supports the healing process and significantly improves the surgical outcome."

Page BreakFast, safe and painless mobilization.
To reduce complications associated with surgery, it is important that the patient resumes functional movement activities as soon as possible after the operation. Since Carefix bras provide very important support and enhance wearing comfort, it will be easier for the patient to mobilize themselves more quickly.

More comfortable and normal to wear compared to a wrap or binder.
Most women wear a bra every day, and wearing one after surgery feels only natural. Using a Carefix bra after the operation not only increases postoperative comfort but also reduces the feeling of abnormality and being "sick."

This fact is supported by a 2004 Australian study comparing use with a binder or wrap versus a post-operative compression bra.

Improves breast contours and body image.
Carefix bras improve body image by supporting and lifting the breasts. Additionally, due to the ability to fill pockets, it is possible to adjust the shape and appearance of the bra, which can enhance self-confidence.

Increases wound and skin care.
Carefix products are designed in such a way that there are no seams in the wound and/or scar area. This ensures maximum skin-friendliness, reduces the risk of infections, and prevents pressure points on the operated area.

Good for posture
In general, good posture is important to prevent tight muscles, pain, loss of strength and pressure on the joints. After breast surgery, a typical body reaction is to protect the treated area, which can change the woman's movement pattern into a “protected position.”

Carefix bras are designed with the aim of correcting this poor posture. The bras are designed with different compression levels to bring the head, back, and shoulders back to their original position for improved posture.

Carefix behaviors are latex-free and carry the Oeko-Tex certification. Hereby more information.
