The Mediven® Struva 23 is a compression stocking with a compression pressure of 23 mmHg at the ankle. This stocking is designed for temporary compression to support venous return, for example after venous or surgical procedures. The Struva 23 helps reduce the formation of edema, hematomas, and venous congestion and is suitable for both mobile and (partially) immobile patients.
Material features
The Mediven® Struva 23 is made from an elastic and latex-free material that offers a comfortable wearing experience. The high elasticity makes the stocking easy to apply, while the breathable knit ensures a pleasant skin climate. The soft texture prevents irritation and makes the product suitable for temporary and continuous use.
Function
The Struva 23 delivers a medically defined pressure of 23 mmHg at the ankle. This pressure gradually decreases towards the thigh (distal to proximal), stimulating venous return and preventing edema formation. The stocking is an effective alternative to conventional compression bandages and provides constant and even pressure over the entire leg.

Please take into account the advice to order two different sizes. You are advised to order one garment in your size and one smaller than your current size. This is because you will swell immediately after the treatment, causing your ready-to-wear size to increase. During the healing process, the fluid decreases, reducing your circumference.
The worn clothing will then be too loose, resulting in less compression. This reduces the effectiveness. By wearing a smaller garment at that time, you will again benefit from compression in the correct zones.
