The Amoena scar patches are made of high-quality medical contact silicone and a PU film protective foil. They are designed to protect the skin, maintain moisture balance, and soften and reduce scars. Thanks to their breathability and flexibility, they are comfortable to use and suitable for long-term application. The patches are reusable, elastic, and come with a backing foil for safe storage after cleaning. 

Why silicone patches are effective
Silicone patches help scar tissue heal in a controlled environment by promoting proper hydration and skin breathing. They reduce excessive moisture loss and prevent the scar tissue from thickening, which lowers the risk of hypertrophic scars and keloids.

Fit
The patches measure 230 x 145 mm and are packaged in sets of 2. Thanks to the flexible material, they conform well to different body shapes and remain discreet on the skin. If necessary, the patches can be trimmed to better fit the shape of the scar.

Usage
Apply the silicone scar patches daily to the closed wound for at least 12 hours per day. This should be repeated daily for a period of 3 to 12 months. After removing the patches, you can apply a moisturizing cream, for example at night, to support healing. For optimal results, it is important to clean the patches regularly.

Cleaning advice
Clean the silicone scar patch every day with a few drops of Amoena Soft Cleanser or a non-greasy soap and rinse the patch under warm running water. Let the silicone patches air dry.
